Originally from Tampa, Florida, I moved to San Diego with the Navy in 2010. After I got out, I stayed because San Diego is a fantastic place to live for so many reasons. In the Fall of 2012 I started as a full time student at Mesa College and by Fall of 2015 had earned degrees in Anthropology and Geography. I’m transferring to UC Berkeley this Fall but came back for one last semester to study journalism and write for the Mesa Press.

Favorite quotes: “There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.” A.J. Muste.

“I have been running my whole life and arrived nowhere. Now I walk mindfully and arrive in the here and the now with every step.” Thich Nhat Hanh.
